Management Training that actually changes behaviour

Most managers learn by trial and error. That costs time, morale and money. Our programmes give your people a tested framework they can use the week they return to work.

Sound familiar?

  • New managers promoted for technical skill, not people skill
  • Difficult conversations are avoided until they escalate
  • Meetings run long and decisions still don't stick
  • High performers leave because they feel under-managed
  • Senior leaders spend too much time fixing middle-management gaps

What shifts after our training

  • Managers hold structured one-to-ones that their teams look forward to
  • Performance issues surface early and get resolved in days, not months
  • Delegation becomes a habit, not a last resort
  • Team engagement scores climb within one quarter
  • Your leadership pipeline fills from the inside

Our training programmes

Each programme is delivered on-site at your premises or in a virtual classroom. Group sizes stay below 14 so every participant gets individual coaching time.

First-time manager essentials

A two-day intensive for anyone who has moved from individual contributor to team lead in the last 18 months. We cover delegation, giving feedback, running effective meetings and managing former peers. Participants leave with a 90-day personal development plan reviewed by our facilitator.

Performance and accountability

Designed for managers who already have the basics but struggle when performance dips. Over three half-day sessions spread across six weeks, we practise setting clear expectations, documenting conversations and using progressive accountability without damaging trust.

Strategic leadership for senior managers

Your senior team sets the tone for the entire organisation. This four-day programme, split into two residential blocks, focuses on strategic thinking, cross-functional influence, coaching direct reports who are themselves managers, and building a culture of ownership rather than compliance.

Bespoke half-day workshops

Sometimes you need a targeted session on one topic: conflict resolution, time management for leaders, running hybrid teams, or handling restructures. We scope a half-day workshop around your exact situation, including pre-session interviews with three to five participants so the content fits from minute one.

How we work together

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation where we learn about your team size, current challenges and what good looks like for you. No pitch deck, just questions.

Scoping and proposal

We send a one-page proposal within five working days. It outlines the programme, dates, group size and investment. No hidden extras.

Delivery

Sessions are interactive. Expect role-plays, live case studies from your own business, and peer coaching. We do not lecture from slides for eight hours.

Follow-through

Every participant gets a follow-up coaching call four weeks later. We also send you a summary of themes and recommendations for ongoing support.

Who delivers the training?

We are a small team of three facilitators, each with at least 15 years of line management experience before moving into training. Between us we have managed teams in retail operations, financial services, healthcare administration and technology start-ups.

That matters because our examples come from real situations we have handled, not textbook case studies written in the 1990s. When a delegate says "but my team won't respond to that," we can usually describe a time we faced the same pushback and what we did about it.

We are based in St. Kundeing, England, and deliver programmes across the UK. Virtual delivery is available for distributed teams or organisations outside England.

Questions we hear often

How large can a training group be?
We cap groups at 14 participants. Smaller groups (six to eight) work best for programmes that include role-play and individual coaching. If you have more than 14 people, we run parallel cohorts on consecutive days so everyone gets the same quality of attention.
Do you offer open courses individuals can join?
Not at the moment. All our programmes are in-company so we can tailor content to your culture, language and real challenges. We find that generic open courses produce polite feedback forms but very little behaviour change back at the desk.
What does it cost?
A two-day programme for up to 14 delegates typically falls between £3,800 and £5,200 plus VAT, depending on travel and preparation time. Half-day workshops start at £1,400. We quote a fixed price after the discovery call so there are no surprises.
Can sessions be delivered virtually?
Yes. We use Zoom or Teams, whichever your organisation prefers. Virtual sessions are shorter (three hours rather than a full day) and spread across more dates. Breakout rooms, digital whiteboards and pre-work keep engagement high.
How far in advance should we book?
Four to six weeks is ideal. That gives us time for the scoping call, pre-session interviews and material customisation. We have occasionally turned things around in two weeks for urgent requests, but the tailoring is naturally lighter.
